Calista Education & Culture Scholarships

The purpose of the Calista Education & Culture (formerly Calista Heritage Foundation) scholarship fund is to provide financial assistance to Alaska Natives with ties to the Calista Region, and to enable the recipients to participate in continuing educational activities, formal programs of study and programs that will improve the status of Alaska Natives. Scholarship Application

In order to qualify for the scholarship application a student:

  • Must be accepted into an accredited school.
  • Must be an Alaska Native Shareholder or a lineal Descendant of an Alaska Native Shareholder with ties to the Calista Region. Lineal Descendants must send their birth certificate or other documentation substantiating their relationship to a Shareholder.
  • Must be a high school graduate or have earned a G.E.D. and be in good academic standing with at least a 2.0 grade point average. Students must submit transcripts from past academic work to verify grade point average.

The annual postmark deadlines for scholarship applications is December 1 (spring term) and June 30 (fall term) of each year.
